2008 National Council for Public-Private Partnerships Awards
The National Council for Public-Private Partnerships (NCPPP) announced the winners of its 2008 awards last month. Their awards “recognize exemplary projects and service that illustrate the best practices and innovated approaches in the use of PPPs.” Their press release noted that the number of nominations increased 50% this year, a hopeful sign that PPPs are growing nationwide, or at least, becoming more successful.
Reason also highlighted leaders in the privatization movement earlier this year with its Innovators In Action 2008 report, edited by Len Gilroy.
The 2008 NCPPP Award winners are:
Distinguished Leadership Award
Innovation Awards – in recognition of new approaches in the use of PPPs:
Infrastructure Awards – in recognition of outstanding projects developed with the use of PPPs:
Service Awards – in recognition for years of continuous and outstanding service through the use of PPPs:
Presentation of the awards will be made on November 20 at the NCPPP Annual Awards Banquet, held in conjunction with the Council’s Annual Meeting in Indianapolis, IN (Nov 20-21).
