Planners Gone Wild

Over at Marginal Revolution--a blog so consistently interesting it is downright intimidating--they've picked up this Washington Post story about the newest plan to fix/remake/re-engineer Tysons Corner, a sprawling suburb of DC.

The plan looks to be a dream (nightmare) of urban (central) planning. The key tell for the coming boondoggle is one official's stated goal to "slow traffic down." Well, they are good at that, aren't they?

I had already made an oath to mostly avoid Tysons. May have to bump that up to a blood oath.

Have at it Sam, Ted and Len...
