Good news for California kids
Proposition 82, the California universal preschool initiative, is headed for defeat.
With 44 percent of votes counted statewide, the measure was losing by a margin of 59 percent to 41 percent.
Reason's Lisa Snell has been the leading education expert to demonstrate how the plan would have been a disaster for children, parents, taxpayers, and the existing quality non-government preschools in the state.
