Muni wi-fi marches on

Earthlink has won the contract to Wi-Fi Anaheim:

Once the contract between the City and EarthLink is approved, deployment of the 50-square-mile, citywide Wi-Fi mesh network will begin in a phased approach. In the first phase, EarthLink will construct a two-square-mile proof-of-concept area for testing and analysis. The remainder of the city's network will be completed by the fourth quarter of 2006.

More here.

Earthlink’s also going to do the same for Philly.

More on muni Wi-Fi here.
