Customers complain it takes too long to get licenses renewed. What do you do?

You could improve service or you could try Indiana's approach:

    The state Bureau of Motor Vehicles is removing clocks from public areas of its license branches partly to make it harder for customers to know how long they've been waiting ...

I suppose the next step is making customers leave their watches at the door.
