Voters Reject Takeover...But Talk of Another Sparks Up

Voters in Lexington, Kentucky sent a clear message that they did not want the city-county to condem and buy a private water utility.

Four of the five new Urban County Council members oppose the city’s efforts to get control of Kentucky-American Water, a privately owned utility.

Even with the demise of government takeovers in Lexington, the Mayor of Louisville (what's up with Kentucky?) is considering 'buying' the local energy company!
