“A slave job is a slave job”
The latest addition to the Wal-Mart Foe Hyperbole Watch.
That particular over-the-top statement comes from the Rev. Michael Pfleger. He doesn’t want two new Wal-Marts in Chicago, because the retailer offers “slave” jobs. Here’s the whole quotation:
"I think we have to get away from the mentality that we're just glad to get a job … We've got to stop accepting crumbs as if it's the only thing we're meant to eat. A slave job is a slave job."
Flashback: This activist is in “a nationwide war” with the Biggest Box.
Perhaps the biggest threat to humanity is no longer second hand smoke.
