The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials has released a series of three reports making the case for expanding road and freight infrastructure capacity called Transportation Reboot. The reports note that simply maintaining existing capacity is not sufficient in an economy where output and population is growing.
Unlocking Gridlock is the report that makes the case for road capacity and expansion, and the report includes a list of specific state-level projects that AASHTO believes deserve funding. They also provide an interactive list for each state.
